The quality of meat is unsurpassed by any Carniceria up here. They always have the freshest selections. The meat you buy at the counter is the same meat they serve in the restaurant which is quite nice and it saves you quite a bit of money if you take it home and cook it yourself. If you prefer they can cook it for you but it's quite a bit more :-)
Excellent food. Lady at front counter was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions about the items on the menu. She recommended the handmade tortillas and they were awesome. Very reaonably priced with generous portions. Very tasty.

This is the BEST place for Carne Asada Tacos and Burritos! I have been going here since the 90’s and they went thru owner change but the Tacos are still the same and Hella Fiyah! My Favorite Mexican Restaurant! No longer live in the area but this was the place, haven’t been here since 2021. Hopefully it’s the same, will visit when in the area again.
Ordered the red chilequiles with carne asada. Loved them! And the carne asada was super flavorful. It's definitely a spot I would get meat from in the future. The salsas they make are also really good and fresh. This spot is a must try!
I have been going to ( El Torito ) since 2018 when I first moved to Hesperia , and I can honestly say that the owners are hands down great people and friends . Yes that's right ; I said friends , Paul the owner is amazing along with their entire staff . If it's fresh meat to BBQ or great authentic Mexican food they have it all . If they don't have it ; You don't need it . If you have never been here before I suggest you get off your butt and try it . You won't regret it . Viva El Torito ...... God bless you all
